Produktinformationen "SparkFun Qwiic - Ambient Light Sensor - VEML6030"

Looking for an ambient light detection option? The VEML6030 Qwiic board is a great entry-level option. The VEML6030 is a highly accurate ambient light sensor with 16-bit resolution. Even more impressive is that it can detect light similar to the reaction of the human eye. By using our convenient Qwiic system, no soldering is required to connect it to the rest of your system. Still, we've broken out the pins at 0.1" spacing in case you'd rather use a breadboard.

The SparkFun ambient light sensor measures ambient light in lux and has a number of nice features, including: the ability to set high and low thresholds for an optional interrupt, power saving features that allow for single-digit microampere current draw, and a readable range of zero to 120,000 lux. We have also written an Arduino library that provides full access to all functions and includes sample code that demonstrates all of its capabilities.

Note: The I2C address of the VEML6030 is 0x48 and can be switched to 0x10 using a jumper. A multiplexer/mux is required for communication with several VEML6030 sensors on one bus. If you want to use more than one VEML6030 sensor, you should use the Qwiic Mux Breakout.

Adafruit BH1750 Light Sensor, STEMMA QT / Qwiic
This is the BH1750 16-bit ambient light sensor from Rohm. Because it is so important to humans and most other living things, sensing the amount of light in an environment is a common introduction when learning to work with microcontrollers and sensors. Should we increase or dim the brightness of our display to save power? In which direction should the robot move to stay in an area with the most light? Is it day or night? All these questions can be answered with the help of the BH1750. It is a small, powerful and inexpensive light sensor that you can add to your next project to add light detection and measurement. The BH1750 provides 16-bit light measurements in lux, the SI unit for measuring light, making it easy to compare with other values such as references and measurements from other sensors. The BH1750 can measure from 0 to 65K+ lux, but with some calibration and advanced adjustment of the measurement time, it can even be convinced to measure up to 100,000 lux! Sensors tend to come in small packages and the BH1750 is no different. Not much bigger than a grain of rice, this handy light sensor friend needs some help to be used by people who are experimenting and don't have the desire or tools to work with surface mount parts. We're here to help! The BH1750 is packaged on a board in our STEMMA QT form factor and has an integrated voltage regulator and level shifting circuitry that allows it to operate with 3. 3V devices, such as a Feather M4 or Raspberry Pi, or 5V devices, such as an Arduino. Instead of working with the sensor's tiny little contacts, the board it's packaged on has all the pins broken out to a standard 0.1"/2.54mm pitch header. To make things easier and more flexible, we've also included SparkFun Qwiic compatible STEMMA QT connectors for the I2C bus, so you don't even need to solder! Just plug in a compatible cable and connect it to the MCU of your choice, and you're ready to load software and measure light.QT cable not included. To support the software part, we've written a library that you can use with CircuitPython compatible devices as well as computers like the Raspberry Pi by installing it with PyPi. You can even use it on a full-blown computer by using an MCP2221 breakout. Arduino users can use the well-made hp_BH1750 library by Stefan Armborst and our installation instructions and schematics. SparkFun Qwiic - Environmental sensor breakout, BME680
The BME680 environmental sensor from SparkFun is a breakout that combines a gas sensor with temperature, humidity and barometric pressure measurement to create a complete environmental sensor in a single housing. The BME680's gas sensor can detect a variety of volatile organic compounds (or VOCs for short) to monitor indoor air quality. Combined with accurate temperature, humidity and barometric pressure, the BME680 can operate as a completely self-contained environmental sensor, all in a 1 inch x 1 inch breakout! The sensor communicates via either I2C or SPI. We've broken out the I2C pins on our Qwiic system so no soldering is required to connect it to the rest of your system, but if you prefer, both the I2C and SPI pins are also broken out to standard 0.1 inch spaced pins. Note: Determining the actual indoor air quality (IAQ) of the BME680 can be tricky. If you want to use the BME680 for accurate IAQ measurements, we recommend using Bosch's BSEC software. If you need a more direct sensor, we recommend the SparkFun Environmental Sensor Combo, which uses the CCS811 alongside the BME280. SparkFun Qwiic - High-precision temperature sensor, TMP117
The SparkFun Qwiic TMP117 Breakout is a high-precision temperature sensor equipped with an I2C interface. It outputs temperature readings with a high accuracy of ±0.1°C over the temperature range of -20°C to +50°Cs without calibration and a maximum range of -55°C to 150°C. The SparkFun high precision temperature sensor also has very low power consumption, minimising the effects of self-heating on measurement accuracy. By using our convenient Qwiic system, no soldering is required to connect it to the rest of your system. Nevertheless, we have broken out the pins at 0.1" spacing in case you prefer to use a breadboard. The SparkFun high precision temperature sensor also features programmable temperature limits and a digital offset for system correction. While the TMP102 is capable of reading temperatures with a resolution of 0.0625°C and is accurate up to 0.5°C, the on-board TMP117 is not only more precise but has a 16-bit resolution of 0.0078°C! To make using this breakout even easier, we've written an Arduino library to help you get started "Qwiic-ly". See the Documents tab above for more information. Adafruit VEML7700 Lux Sensor - I2C Light Sensor
Vishay has a lot of light sensors on offer, and this is a nice, simple lux sensor that can easily be built into any microcontroller. Most light sensors only give you a number for brighter/darker ambient lighting. The VEML7700 makes your life easier by calculating the lux number, which is an SI unit for light. You get more consistent readings between multiple sensors because you're not dealing with unitless values. The sensor has a 16-bit dynamic range for detecting ambient light from 0 lux to about 120 klux with a resolution of up to 0.0036 lx/ct, with software-adjustable gain and integration times. Interfacing is easy - this sensor uses simple, universal I2C. We've put this sensor on a breakout board with a 3.3V regulator and logic level shifter so you can use it with 3.3V or 5V power/logic microcontrollers. We've written libraries for Arduino (C/C++) and CircuitPython (Python 3) so you can use this sensor with just about any type of device, even a Raspberry Pi! This is Kattni's first board design for Adafruit, it's even signed on the back!
