Raspberry Pi 5 – The latest single-board computer
The Raspberry Pi 5 is currently the most powerful model in the Raspberry Pi family, setting new standards in performance and features.
Compared to the Raspberry Pi 4, it comes with a faster quad-core Cortex-A76 processor running at 2.4 GHz and improved power management.
New features include up to 16 GB of RAM, a built-in real-time clock for accurate timekeeping without an external RTC HAT, and a power button directly on the board for safe shutdowns.
Other highlights: native PCIe Gen 2 via M.2, a 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet port, and dual HDMI outputs supporting 4Kp60.
Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W – Compact and affordable all-rounder
The Raspberry Pi Zero 2 W is the smaller, low-power and budget-friendly version of the Raspberry Pi computer. It features a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor at 1 GHz with built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2.
Its compact design makes it ideal for space-constrained projects such as portable devices, IoT controllers, or retro gaming consoles.
With GPIO pins and a CSI camera connector, you can flexibly use it for DIY builds, sensor networks, or mini-robotics. Compared to the Zero 2 WH, it’s cheaper but comes without a pre-soldered header.
