Description
Product information "LilyPad ProtoSnap Plus"
At the heart of the ProtoSnap Plus is the LilyPad USB Plus microcontroller, which is wired to a LilyPad board containing a LilyPad light sensor, a LilyPad buzzer, a LilyPad keypad, four pairs of coloured LilyPad LEDs and a LilyPad slide switch. Because these components are connected together on the ProtoSnap board, you can try out your project ideas before sewing. The ProtoSnap Plus also includes expansion ports that allow you to sew your wearables together or connect external sensors and components with alligator cables. After you've tested your programming ideas with the included LilyPad parts, you can take apart the prototype board and sew it into your project!
Please note that the Lilypad ProtoSnap Plus is NOT supported on Windows 7/8 as there are no drivers for these operating systems.
Note: A portion of the proceeds from this sale will go to Dr Leah Buechley for further development and education in the field of e-textiles.

Safety instructions
- Only use the LilyPad board with the recommended voltages to prevent damage to the device and connected components.
- Avoid short circuits, especially on exposed connections and contact elements.
- Never connect the board to a power source while wiring or electronic work is being carried out.
- Keep the board away from water-bearing or damp environments to prevent short circuits or corrosion.
- Only operate with suitable and compatible accessory components (sensors, LEDs, actuators).
- Ensure that the polarity of the power supply is correct. Incorrectly polarised connections can cause damage.
- Keep the LilyPad away from children, as small components can be swallowed.
- Dispose of the board or defective components in accordance with local regulations for electronic waste.
- Do not use a damaged board - cracks, broken contacts or a burning odour indicate potential hazards.
- Ensure environmentally friendly disposal, dispose of batteries separately and ensure recycling.
