Product information "SparkFun Thing Plus - XBee3 Micro, U.FL"
The new XBee3 Micro module offers the classic 2.4 GHz 802.15.4 (Zigbee 3.0 protocol) wireless connectivity that makes it so desirable, but with the new addition of being programmable with MicroPython (32 KB memory available for this). RF data rates up to 250 Kbps and ranges of 200ft indoors and up to 4000ft line of sight outdoors. The module is communicated/configured via an AT command set or the Digi API, X-CTU, both locally and over-the-air. There is now even a mobile version of X-CTU; Digi XBee® Mobile.
This variant has a U.FL antenna connector for longer range communication.
