Product information "M5Stack Core2 ESP32 IoT Development Kit"
The MCU is an ESP32 model D0WDQ6-V3 and has dual-core Xtensa® 32-bit 240Mhz LX6 processors that can be controlled separately. WiFi and Bluetooth are supported as standard and it has a 16MB flash and 8MB PSRAM memory, a USB TYPE-C interface for charging, downloading programmes and serial communication, an integrated 2.0-inch capacitive touch screen and a built-in vibration motor.
The M5Core2 also has a built-in RTC module that enables accurate time measurement. The power supply is controlled by an AXP192 power management chip, which can effectively control the power consumption of the base. An in-built green LED power indicator informs the user of the battery level. The battery capacity has been increased to 390 mAh, allowing the base to run for much longer than its predecessor.
The M5Core2 still has a TF card slot (microSD) and speakers. However, to ensure higher quality sound output, the power amplifier chip of the I2S digital audio interface is used to effectively prevent signal distortion. Independent buttons for switching on and resetting are located on the left side and bottom of the base.
The 3 icons on the front of the screen are programmable capacitive buttons. On the back of the base is a small expansion board with a 6-axis IMU sensor and a microphone. The development platform and programming language supported by M5Stack Core2: Arduino, UIFlow (with Blockly, MicroPython) Regardless of your development and programming skills, M5Stack will help you turn your ideas into reality step by step.
Power management
Operation:
Switch on: One click on the power button on the left side
Switching off: Press and hold the left power button for 6 seconds
Reset: Click on the RST button on the bottom
Core2 uses the AXP192 as power chip. Please initialise the 'mbus' mode according to the power supply method as follows:

Note: Core2 currently has two CP2104/CH9102F A USB chip versions, users can install the drivers
(CH34x and CP210x) compatible with two ICs at the same time to ensure the device drivers work normally.
Extensions
To stack the M5Core2 with M5 modules, you need to remove the battery bottom of the Core2. If you want to keep the I2S Mic, IMU and Battery functions, an M5GO Bottom2 is required.
**The CP2104 chip interface is reserved on the CORE2 board to communicate with the lithium battery.
