Seeed Grove - Temperature, Humidity, Pressure and Gas Sensor (BME680)
The Grove - Temperature, Humidity, Pressure and Gas Sensor is based on the BME680 module. It is a 4-in-1 environmental sensor that measures temperature, humidity, air pressure and gas in a compact format. The sensor utilises MEMS technology (microelectromechanical systems), which makes it particularly compact and energy-efficient. The use of this technology makes the module suitable for applications such as mobile devices, wearables and projects in the Internet of Things (IoT) sector. The device supports a power supply of 3.3V or 5V and works reliably in a wide temperature range of -40 to +85 °C as well as at a relative humidity of 0 to 100 % and an air pressure range of 300 to 1100 hPa. The sensor measures humidity with an accuracy of ±3 %, temperature with ±1 °C and air pressure with ±0.6 hPa absolute or ±0.12 hPa relative.
The sensor is suitable for many applications, including indoor air quality monitoring, home automation, weather forecasting systems with microcontrollers such as Arduino, GPS optimisation, barometric altitude measurement, indoor navigation or vertical motion measurement such as lift travel or height difference detection. The support of I²C and SPI interfaces enables flexible integration into existing systems. Thanks to the Grove-compatible socket, the module can be connected directly without soldering.

It measures volatile organic compounds (VOC), temperature, relative humidity and air pressure.
