Seeed Grove - Sunlight Sensor (visible light and infrared light) - SI1151
The Grove - Sunlight Sensor is based on the SI1151 from SiLabs and is a digital multi-channel light sensor for the detection of visible and infrared light. The sensor operates on reflection-based technology and utilises an I2C interface with 7-bit addresses and a programmable interrupt output for event detection. It is optimised for a wide dynamic range and works reliably in a variety of light sources, including direct sunlight. The sensor has a Grove connector, allowing direct connection to microcontroller platforms such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi.

The module is designed for applications where continuous light monitoring is required. Typical applications include smart irrigation systems, DIY weather stations and light-controlled automation systems. The detection range of the sensor is between 280 nm and 950 nm and therefore covers a large part of the visible and infrared spectrum. The low current consumption of 3.5 mA at an operating voltage of 3.0 V to 5.5 V allows the sensor to be used in energy-efficient projects.

The sensor detects the intensity of the ambient light and enables data to be processed to control light-dependent processes. Thanks to its digital interface, light intensity and quality can be reliably analysed. The possibility of programming different configurations makes the sensor flexible to use.

Seeed Grove - CO2 & Temperature & Humidity Sensor (SCD41) The Grove - SCD41 is a compact 3-in-1 environmental sensor for measuring CO2, humidity and temperature. Based on the Sensirion SCD41, the module utilises photoacoustic NDIR sensor technology, which enables high accuracy and a wide measurement range. Due to its small size, wide supply voltage, high robustness and adjustable power consumption, the sensor can be integrated into a variety of environmental monitoring applications, such as smart ventilation systems. The Grove - CO2, temperature and humidity sensor module - SCD41 measures CO2 values in real time with an accuracy of ±(40 ppm + 5 %) in the range of 400 to 5,000 ppm. In addition, a humidity and temperature sensor are integrated, which enables optimised signal processing on the chip and output of additional values for relative humidity (RH) and temperature (T). The module measures 10.1 x 10.1 x 6.5 mm³ and supports an operating voltage of 2.4 V to 5.5 V. The sensor is suitable for various applications due to its robustness against external loads and the ability to reduce energy consumption to less than 0.4 mA on average. CO2 is considered an important indicator of indoor air quality, as high concentrations can affect cognitive performance and well-being. The Grove - CO2 & Temperature & Humidity Sensor - SCD41 enables intelligent ventilation systems to control ventilation in an energy-efficient and user-friendly way. In addition, devices equipped with the SCD41 can monitor air quality and provide comfortable temperature and humidity control, supporting a healthy and productive environment. PASens Technology is based on the photoacoustic measurement principle. This allows a strong miniaturisation of the CO2 sensor without compromising performance, as the sensor sensitivity remains independent of the size of the optical cavity. Seeed Grove - Light Sensor v1.2 - Phototransistor LS06-S The Grove - Light Sensor v1.2 is an analogue sensor module that can output various electrical signals according to the light intensity. The conversion into specific value ranges depends on the analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) used on the connected control board. For example, with an 8-bit ADC, voltage conversion can take place in the range from 0 to 255. Compared to the previous version Grove - Light Sensor 1.0, version 1.2 replaces the conventional light-dependent resistor unit (GL5528 LDR) with an LS06-S photoresistor. This works as a highly sensitive and reliable photodiode and recognises the light intensity in the environment. In addition, a dual operational amplifier of type LM358 is integrated, which generates a voltage proportional to the light intensity. The output voltage of the module is high (HIGH) in bright surroundings and low (LOW) in darkness. The module is equipped with a Grove interface that enables easy connection to microcontrollers. The module can be used to measure light intensity, as a light sensor for control purposes or for the realisation of light-controlled circuits. Due to its response to a broad spectrum up to a wavelength of 540 nm, the module is very versatile. The response time is typically 20 to 30 ms. With an operating voltage of 3 V to 5 V and a power consumption of only 0.5 to 3 mA, the module is suitable for many microcontroller and SBC platforms. The module can be integrated into home automation systems, for example for voice control of household appliances or as a component of light-controlled regulators.
