This splash case, suitable for Raspberry Pi Zero, consists of a 3-piece clip construction with micro SD card cover and embossed Raspberry Pi Foundation logo, which acts as a ventilation point for heat dissipation. Each case features a GPIO cut-out on the top and bottom which can be easily removed with a sharp tool, or left in place when the GPIO is not required.
There are also 2 x M3 mounting holes on the back of the case so that the Pi Zero can be effortlessly attached wherever it is needed, e.g. to a belt/dog/table/wall. The case also offers two internal microSD card slots to store additional operating system images.

SenseCAP S2108 Soil moisture, temperature and pore EC sensor
The SenseCAP S2108 is a sensor for the simultaneous measurement of soil moisture, temperature and electrical conductivity (pore EC). It is used for precise monitoring of soil conditions in applications such as agriculture, horticulture, greenhouse control, water management and environmental research. By combining three measurement parameters, the device enables a comprehensive assessment of soil quality and supports data-based decisions on irrigation, fertilisation and land management.
The device measures soil moisture in the range from 0 to 100 % (VWC), soil temperatures from -40 °C to 80 °C and electrical conductivity up to 32 ms/cm. The data obtained helps to control water consumption, monitor nutrient levels and analyse the salt concentration in the soil, which is crucial for plant growth.
The sensor uses LoRaWAN technology with a range of up to 10 km in free line of sight and around 2 km in urban environments. The IP66-certified housing offers protection against dust and water and is suitable for extreme outdoor use. The Bluetooth interface in conjunction with the SenseCAP Mate app allows easy setup and remote configuration without specialised technical knowledge. It is powered by a replaceable ER34615 battery (D-size) with up to 10 years of operation.
The SenseCAP S2108 is designed for use in automated and long-term monitored irrigation systems. Typical applications include the precise control of water supply in agriculture, moisture monitoring in greenhouses, drought detection in open landscapes and the long-term collection of soil parameters in environmental research.
The device measures the moisture content in the soil, the temperature and the salt content based on the electrical conductivity. This information helps to assess soil quality and organise the water supply efficiently. The sensor can also indicate changes in the nutrient balance, which can be measured by the EC value (electrical conductivity). In simple terms, the sensor recognises how wet the soil is, how warm it is and how many salts are in it. This enables targeted irrigation and fertilisation.

M5StickT2 is a compact infrared thermal imaging camera based on the ESP32-PICO-D4 SoC. It utilises the FLIR Lepton 3.0 Long-Wave Infrared (LWIR) image sensor with a resolution of 160 x 120 pixels. The camera enables non-contact temperature measurement over large areas and delivers stable thermal images with a frame rate of 8.7 Hz. The integrated 1.14-inch IPS colour display with 135 x 240 pixels shows temperature curves, histograms and other operating information. It is controlled via two programmable buttons, a rotary encoder and a reset button.
The device contains an ESP32 microcontroller with a clock frequency of up to 240 MHz, an integrated Wi-Fi interface and 4 MB flash memory. Power is supplied via an integrated 300 mAh lithium battery, which is charged via USB-C. An HY2.0-4P connection with I2C/UART and mounting threads (M3 and 1/4 inch) are available for expansion. The housing is made of 3D-printed nylon material.
The thermal imaging camera is suitable for vehicle diagnostics, building thermography, inspection of industrial plants and for outdoor observation at night. The image display can be adjusted via various modes (GRAY, GOLDEN, RAINBOW, IRONBLACK, RGB), as can the target tracking (maximum, minimum, centre temperature). The display sensitivity can be fine-tuned using an encoder. The automatic temperature range adjustment allows flexible use in changing environments.
M5StickT2 offers an open development environment with support for Arduino IDE, ESP-IDF and PlatformIO. It is operated using the reset button and buttons A and B to control image mode and temperature tracking. The rotary encoder is used for sensitivity adjustment. The power supply is controlled via a 2s (switch on) and 6s (switch off) press of the reset button.
