Pimoroni Presto ist ein programmierbares Desktop-Display, das mit dem RP2350-Mikrocontroller betrieben wird. Es verfügt über ein 4-Zoll-IPS-Touchdisplay mit einer Auflösung von 480 x 480 Pixeln, sieben Zonen RGB-Umgebungsbeleuchtung, einen integrierten Piezo-Lautsprecher, einen microSD-Kartenslot sowie eine Stromversorgung über USB-C oder eine externe Batterie. Die Konstruktion ist in einem schwarzen Aluminiumständer integriert, der Stabilität und ein kompaktes Design bietet.
Presto eignet sich für verschiedenste Aufgaben wie die Anzeige von Kalendern, Wetterberichten, Fotos, generativer Kunst oder anderen individuell programmierbaren Informationen. Dank des RP2350-Prozessors, der 16 MB QSPI-Flash, 8 MB PSRAM und eine kabellose 2,4-GHz-WLAN- sowie Bluetooth-Verbindung bietet, können zahlreiche Anwendungsfälle flexibel umgesetzt werden. Die Steuerung erfolgt über die USB-C-Schnittstelle, wobei eine Programmierung mit C/C++ oder MicroPython möglich ist. Der Anschluss für eine externe Batterie ermöglicht den mobilen Betrieb, wobei ein separates Ladegerät erforderlich ist.
Das Gerät wird vollständig montiert geliefert und ist mit einem USB-C Kabel aus dem Zubehör sofort einsatzbereit. Es verfügt über einen Qw/ST-Anschluss zur einfachen Integration zusätzlicher Sensoren oder Module. Ein 3-Pin-Debug-Anschluss (JST-SH) ist bei Modellen verfügbar, die nach Juni 2025 gefertigt wurden.
