This compact, low-cost plastic geared motor(high-performance DC motor with brushed reduction gearbox 120:1) is well suited for use in small robots. Although it is designed for operation at 4.5 V, it should also run smoothly in the 3 V to 6 V range. The gearbox has a D-shaped output shaft with a length of 9.7 mm and a diameter of 3 mm, which is offset but parallel to the motor shaft, and a built-in safety clutch protects the gearbox from excessive loads. This version also has a 5×1.5 mm extended motor shaft.
