HiFiBerry Amp2
The HiFiBerry Amp2 is a Class D power amplifier that has been specially developed for direct mounting on the Raspberry Pi. It is used to create a stereo audio system in which speakers can be connected directly to the amplifier. This makes the module suitable for use in multi-room audio installations or compact music systems. The amplifier can drive speakers with an impedance of 4 to 8 ohms and delivers an output power of up to 60 watts. Digital-to-analogue conversion is integrated, meaning that additional DACs or external sound cards are not required. The connection is made directly via the GPIO strip of the Raspberry Pi, so no additional cables are required. It is controlled entirely via the Raspberry Pi. Only an external 12 to 24 volt power supply is required to operate the amplifier and Raspberry Pi. A separate USB power supply unit is not required. Installation is tool-free and requires no soldering. The AMP2 can be installed within a few seconds.
The HiFiBerry Amp2 converts digital audio signals into analogue signals that are passed on to speakers. This is done without additional hardware, as the amplifier already has an integrated DAC. This means that the audio processing is digital right up to the last stage, which helps to reduce signal losses. Typical applications are music systems in the private or commercial sector where compact design and uncomplicated integration are important.
The amplifier can be used to realise compact loudspeaker systems, multi-room installations and smart audio applications. As it is controlled directly via the Raspberry Pi, the audio playback can be customised and automated. In conjunction with corresponding open source systems such as Volumio, OpenHAB or Home Assistant, customisable audio systems with central control via networks or smart home infrastructures are created.

Eight super bright RGB LED indicators that are ideal for adding visual notifications to your Raspberry Pi
without breaking the bank!
Inspired by Alex Ellis' work with his Raspberry Pi Zero Docker Cluster, we designed these boards
for him to use as status indicators. Blink! features eight APA102 pixels in the smallest
(and cheapest) form factor to plug directly onto your Raspberry Pi.
Each pixel on Blink! is individually controllable and dimmable, so you can create colour gradients and pulsing effects
or just make them flash on and off like crazy. The data and clock lines are connected to GPIO #23
and #24 respectively, but for simplicity you can also just use our Python library,
to control them.
Features
Eight APA102 RGB LEDs
Individually controllable pixels
Fits directly onto your Pi in a tiny footprint
Fits into most Pi cases
No interference with PWM audio
Flashes! Pinout
Compatible with Raspberry Pi 3, 2, B+, A+, Zero, and Zero W
Python library
Supplied fully assembled
Software
With the Blinkt! Python library you can create rainbows
in no time! There's also a whole stack of examples, from binary clocks to cheering lights and
flickering candles to Larson scanners!
Our software does not support Raspbian Wheezy.
Notes
Make sure you plug your Blink! in the right way round, it has curves on the top that match the corners of your Raspberry Pi
If you want to access the remaining GPIOs at the same time as Blinkt!, our Mini Black HAT Hack3r is the ideal addition. This allows you to combine Blinkt! with another HAT or pHAT or simply use the GPIO pins for your own project
The dimensions of Blinkt! are 65mm long x 8mm wide x 8.5mm thick (thickness including header and pixels)
The additional accessories shown in the photos are not included
This is HiFiBerry's smallest amplifier board, designed for the Raspberry Pi Zero. It can be used not only with the Raspberry Pi Zero, but also with the larger Raspberry Pi B+/2 and 3
Sometimes it just has to be small. For this use case, we have built the MiniAmp, which fits perfectly on a Raspberry Pi Zero. Its class D amplifier only delivers 3 watts of power, but this is often enough for small music players such as kitchen radios, a clock radio or a small music player for the children. The board is supplied with power via the Raspberry Pi power supply unit. An additional power supply unit is not required.
The board is supplied without spacers and pin header (the pin header is required to mount it on the Raspberry Pi Zero, all other Raspberry Pi boards have the pin header already mounted).
For music playback in larger rooms, we recommend the HiFiBerry Amp+.
This Essential Starter Kit contains all the adapters required for use with the Raspberry Pi Zero. All you need is a Micro USB power supply with at least 1A output current and a MicroSD memory card. We also recommend one of our many cases to protect the Zero.
