Product information "Mini load cell, straight beam, TAL221, 500g"

This miniature straight-rod load cell (sometimes called a strain gauge) can convert up to 500 g of pressure (force) into an electrical signal. Each load cell is capable of measuring the electrical resistance, which changes in response to and proportional to the load (e.g. pressure or force) applied to the rod. You can use this meter to determine how heavy an object is, if the weight of an object changes over time, or if you simply need to detect the presence of an object by measuring the strain or load applied to a surface.

Each linear load cell is made of an aluminium alloy and can read a capacity of 500g. These load cells have four strain gauges connected in a wheatstone bridge formation. The colour code on the wiring is as follows: red=Exc+, green=Sig+, black=Exc-, and white=Sig-. In addition, these load cells offer IP65 protection and have four M3 through-holes for mounting.
