Description
Product information "Makeblock mBuild infrared module, 940 nm, NEC protocol, 6 m range, 40 mA, 24x24x15 mm, 3 g"
This infrared module (IR transceiver) from the mBuild series enables the transmission and reception of signals in the 940 nm range. It works according to the NEC protocol, which is often used in remote control applications, and is particularly suitable for simple data transmissions in educational systems.
The module is ideal for remote control functions, signal transmission between robots or as an IR interface to external devices. Thanks to its mBuild compatibility, it can be easily integrated into existing systems, for example for control via IR remote controls.
It can be used both as a transmitter and a receiver and supports distances of up to 6 metres.

Makeblock – creative solutions for education and robotics
Makeblock was founded in Shenzhen in 2013 with a clear goal: to make robotics, coding and technology accessible to children, students and makers. Today the brand is one of the leading providers of STEM education solutions worldwide and is used in schools in more than 140 countries.
The Makeblock system combines robust aluminium mechanics, electronic modules and graphical programming. Beginners start with block-based coding, advanced users switch to Python or Arduino – and the same hardware grows with them. This makes learning tangible, playful and lasting.
At BerryBase you will find Makeblock robot kits, controllers and individual parts – for classrooms, workshops and anyone who wants to bring technology to life at home.
