Produktinformationen "LTR-559 Light and proximity sensor breakout"

This light and proximity sensor detects light over a wide dynamic range (0.01 lux to 64,000 lux) and proximity within a short range of ~5cm.

The LTR-559 is the same type of sensor you would find next to the camera in your phone to detect when it is next to your ear and when your phone should disable the touchscreen.

It's ideal for an automatic and manual night light switch that detects when the ambient light drops below a certain level and automatically turns on something like Unicorn pHAT, or you simply wave your hand over it to manually turn the light on or off via proximity sensor.

The LTR-559 light and proximity sensor breakout has an I2C interface and is 3.3V or 5V compatible. Like our other Pimoroni breakouts, we've designed it so that you can solder on a piece of right-angled header and then plug it directly into the bottom left 5 pins of your Raspberry Pi's GPIO header (pins 1, 3, 5, 7, 9).

It's also compatible with our fancy new Breakout Garden, where using breakouts is as simple as plugging it into one of the six slots and starting to grow, build and code your project.

Breakout Garden HAT
Cultivate your projects in the Breakout Garden. It's the easiest way to use breakouts with your Raspberry Pi. No soldering is required, simply plug up to six Pimoroni breakouts (6x I2C) into the Breakout Garden slots and start programming and creating. Note that this version of Breakout Garden does not support our SPI breakouts! If you want to use Pimoroni SPI breakouts, then you should get the newer version of Breakout Garden HAT. It's ideal for prototyping projects without complicated wiring, soldering or breadboards, and you always have the option to change your setup thanks to the way Breakout Garden works. Breakout Garden's six stable slots are edge connectors that connect the five pins of each Pimoroni breakout to the power and I2C (for data) pins of your Raspberry Pi. Since I2C is a bus, you can use multiple I2C devices at the same time, provided they don't have the same address (we've made sure all our breakouts have different addresses). We've also broken out a lot of useful pins on the top of Breakout Garden so you can connect other devices and integrate them into your Breakout Garden projects. If you have Pimoroni breakouts that you have already soldered headers to, then you can use this top row of pins to use alongside other breakouts on Breakout Garden. Features Six stable edge slots for Pimoroni breakouts 0.1" pitch, 5-pin connectors Breakout pins (1x10 pin header included) Standoffs (M2.5, 10mm height) included to keep your breakout garden secure Reverse polarity protection (built into breakouts) Board in HAT format Using Breakout Garden We recommend using the included standoffs to firmly attach Breakout Garden to your Raspberry Pi. Insert the screws from below through the mounting holes of your Raspberry Pi and then screw the spacers onto the screws. Plug Breakout Garden onto the GPIO pins of your Pi and then screw through each mounting hole into the standoffs to keep everything tight and secure. Because of the way I2C (the protocol that Breakout Garden uses) works, it doesn't matter which slot of Breakout Garden you plug your Pimoroni Breakout into. Each I2C device has an address (you'll find this on the back of each breakout) that it uses to identify itself to other I2C devices, so it basically says to your Raspberry Pi, "Hey, it's me, Bob!" We've built reverse polarity protection into our Pimoroni breakouts, which means there's no magic blue smoke if you accidentally plug one in backwards. The correct way to plug them in is to make sure the labels on the pins on your breakout and the labels on each Breakout Garden slot match. Software Visit the Breakout Garden GitHub repo and try out our automated installer. Just add a few breakouts to Breakout Garden, run the installer and SHAZAM! will install the software for the corresponding breakouts. We also have some nice examples to show you what's possible.

Breakout Garden HAT (I2C + SPI)
Now with SPI! Expand your projects on Breakout Garden. It's the easiest way to use breakouts with your Raspberry Pi. No soldering is required, just plug up to six Pimoroni breakouts (4xI2C, 2xSPI) into Breakout Garden's slots and start programming and creating. It's ideal for prototyping projects without complicated wiring, soldering or breadboards, and you always have the option to change your setup thanks to the way Breakout Garden works. Breakout Garden's six stable slots are edge connectors that connect Pimoroni breakouts to the pins of your Raspberry Pi. This new version of Breakout Garden has two SPI slots for Pimoroni SPI breakouts like our 0.96"" LCD breakout. It also has four I2C slots for Pimoroni I2C breakouts. Features Six robust slots for Pimoroni breakouts 4x I2C slots (5 pins) 2x SPI slots (7 pins) 0.1" pitch, 5 or 7-pin connectors Broken out pins (1x10 strip pin header included) Standoffs (M2.5, 10mm height) included to keep your breakout garden secure Reverse polarity protection (built into breakouts) Board in HAT format Using Breakout Garden We recommend using the included standoffs to firmly attach Breakout Garden to your Raspberry Pi. Each I2C device has an address (you'll find this on the back of each breakout) that it uses to identify itself to other I2C devices, so it basically tells your Raspberry Pi, "Hey, it's me, Bob!" SPI is a faster, higher throughput protocol for communicating with devices like displays. The two SPI slots have different chip select (CS) and GPIO pins, which you should change in software depending on which slot you are using. The top/rear slot (closest to the Breakout Garden logo) uses chip select 0 (BCM 8) and BCM 18 for the GPIO pin (e.g. for LCD backlighting).E.g. for LCD backlighting). The bottom/front slot uses Chip Select 1 (BCM 7) and BCM 19 for the GPIO pin. We've built reverse polarity protection into our Pimoroni breakouts, which means there's no magic blue smoke if you accidentally plug one in the wrong way round. However, the correct way to plug it in is to match the labels on the pins on your breakout and the labels on each Breakout Garden slot. Software Visit the Breakout Garden GitHub repo and try out our automated installer. Simply add a few breakouts to Breakout Garden, run the installer, and SHAZAM! will install the software for the corresponding breakouts (this does not work for SPI breakouts). We also have some nice examples to show you what is possible.

BME280 Breakout - Temperature, pressure, humidity sensor
A really nice environmental sensor that is ideal for monitoring temperature, pressure and humidity indoors or even outdoors in a suitable enclosure. It's Raspberry Pi and Arduino compatible. We use this sensor on our Enviro+ environmental monitoring board, but it's such a nice sensor we thought we'd put it on a breakout! The BME280 is a great sensor for monitoring conditions around your home. For iOS users, there is a Homebridge plugin for the BME280 that allows you to use the sensor for home automation and monitoring. It's compatible with our fancy breakout garden HAT, where using breakouts is as simple as plugging it into one of the six slots, creating projects and coding. Features Bosch BME280 Temperature, pressure, humidity sensor I2C interface, with address selection via ADDR solder bridge (0x76 or 0x77) 3.3V or 5V compatible Reverse polarity protection Raspberry Pi-compatible pin assignment (pins 1, 3, 5, 7, 9) Compatible with all models of Raspberry Pi and Arduino Python library Datasheet Kit contains BME280 breakout 1x5 pin header 1x5 right angle female header We have designed this breakout board so that you can solder on a right-angled female header and plug it directly into the bottom left 5 pins of your Raspberry Pi's GPIO header (pins 1, 3, 5, 6, 9). The right-angled header also has the advantage of positioning the breakout away from the Pi's CPU to minimise waste heat. Software We've put together a Python library for the BME280 sensor, with handy functions to read all the values, and some nice little examples of how to use it. Notes In our tests, we found that the sensor requires a certain burn-in time (at least 20 minutes) and that the readings take a few minutes to stabilise after measurements have started The solder pads (labelled ADDR) can be bridged to change the I2C address from the default 0x76 to 0x77, which means you can use up to two sensors on the same Raspberry Pi or Arduino The BME280, BME680 and BMP280 breakouts all share the same I2C addresses, so if you are using two together you will need to change the I2C address on one of them using the solder bridge/pads Dimensions: 19x19x2.75mm (LxWxH)

seeed Grove - Digital light sensor (TSL2561)
Seeed Grove - Digital Light Sensor - TSL2561 for Arduino Compatible This module is based on the I2C light-to-digital converter TSL2561, which converts light intensity into a digital signal. It offers three selectable sensing modes (infrared mode, full spectrum mode and human visible mode) and enables the measurement of light changes under different lighting conditions with many common microcontrollers. The TSL2561 is controlled and monitored via sixteen registers (three of which are reserved) and one command register, which are accessible via the serial interface. These registers enable various control functions and can be read out to determine the results of the ADC conversions. Unlike conventional analogue light sensors, such as the Grove - Light Sensor, this digital module has a selectable light spectrum range using two light-sensitive diodes: Infrared and full spectrum. With the high resolution mode and a wide operating temperature range, the module can be used to detect light intensity changes under different lighting conditions. It supports connection to many popular microcontroller boards. The module uses a digital sensor that can measure light in three different modes: Infrared mode, full spectrum mode and human visible mode. The infrared mode measures only infrared light, the full spectrum mode measures both visible and infrared light, while the human visible mode detects light similar to the human eye. The ability to select the measurement mode means that the behaviour of the sensor can be flexibly adapted to different lighting conditions. Typical applications include ambient light measurement, display backlight control and keyboard illumination control. Adafruit TSL2591 High Dynamic Range Digital Light Sensor
When the future is blindingly bright, this ultra-high-range luminance sensor will help you measure it. The TSL2591 brightness sensor is an advanced digital light sensor, ideal for use in a variety of lighting situations. Compared to low-cost CdS cells, this sensor is more precise, allows accurate lux calculations and can be configured for different gain/time ranges to capture light ranges from 188 uLux up to 88,000 lux on the fly. The best thing about this sensor is that it contains both infrared and full spectrum diodes! This means that you can measure infrared, full spectrum or human visible light separately. Most sensors can only detect one or the other, which is not exactly what the human eye sees (as we cannot see the IR light detected by most photodiodes). This sensor is very similar to the TSL2561, but has a wider range (and the interface code is different). This sensor has a massive dynamic range of 600,000,000:1! Unlike the TSL2561, you can't change the I2C address, so keep that in mind. The built-in ADC means you can use it with any microcontroller, even if it doesn't have analogue inputs. The current consumption is extremely low, making it ideal for low power data acquisition systems. Around 0.4 mA in active measurement and less than 5 uA in power-down mode. As if that wasn't enough, we also have SparkFun qwiic compatible STEMMA QT connectors for the I2C bus so you don't even need to solder. Simply connect your favourite mic with a plug-and-play cable to get 6-DoF data as quickly as possible. For a solder-free experience, simply connect your favourite mic with a STEMMA QT adapter cable. QT cable is not included, but we have a selection in the shop

seeed Grove - Light sensor v1.2 - Phototransistor LS06-S
Seeed Grove - Light Sensor v1.2 - Phototransistor LS06-S The Grove - Light Sensor v1.2 is an analogue sensor module that can output various electrical signals according to the light intensity. The conversion into specific value ranges depends on the analogue-to-digital converter (ADC) used on the connected control board. For example, with an 8-bit ADC, voltage conversion can take place in the range from 0 to 255. Compared to the previous version Grove - Light Sensor 1.0, version 1.2 replaces the conventional light-dependent resistor unit (GL5528 LDR) with an LS06-S photoresistor. This works as a highly sensitive and reliable photodiode and recognises the light intensity in the environment. In addition, a dual operational amplifier of type LM358 is integrated, which generates a voltage proportional to the light intensity. The output voltage of the module is high (HIGH) in bright surroundings and low (LOW) in darkness. The module is equipped with a Grove interface that enables easy connection to microcontrollers. The module can be used to measure light intensity, as a light sensor for control purposes or for the realisation of light-controlled circuits. Due to its response to a broad spectrum up to a wavelength of 540 nm, the module is very versatile. The response time is typically 20 to 30 ms. With an operating voltage of 3 V to 5 V and a power consumption of only 0.5 to 3 mA, the module is suitable for many microcontroller and SBC platforms. The module can be integrated into home automation systems, for example for voice control of household appliances or as a component of light-controlled regulators. The integrated LS06-S phototransistor is able to recognise light quickly and precisely, with the output voltage being directly oriented to the light intensity. The Grove interface enables simple integration into existing systems without complex wiring.
