Adafruit LPS35HW Waterproof pressure sensor

Sometimes you need to measure the pressure in a humid environment. And sometimes you need to know both the relative pressure changes and the absolute pressure. For those times when you need both (or either), the LPS35HW is the right pressure sensor for you. Combining protection against water ingress with support for highly accurate relative and absolute measurements, this sensor fulfils all your requirements. With drivers for CircuitPython, Arduino and Raspberry Pi and support for I2C or SPI (Arduino only supports SPI for now), you'll be measuring pressure in humid situations in no time. The ST LPS35HW is a waterproof barometric pressure and temperature sensor that can be safely used in humid environments. The sensor element is securely embedded in a ceramic housing and encased in a waterproof gel that prevents water entering the sensor from affecting the readings. It doesn't carry any ratings for resistance to moisture, so you probably won't want to take it to the bottom of the Mariana Trench, but it should work well for normal wet situations like weather stations or high humidity. In addition to not being afraid of getting wet, the LPS35HW has 24-bit pressure data and 16-bit temperature data, allowing it to provide pressure readings with an accuracy of +/- 0.1% hPa. It can measure from 260 to 1260 hPa and is pressure-resistant up to 20 times its measuring range. To enable you to take measurements according to your requirements, the LPS35HW also offers an adjustable data rate and a low-pass filter to remove noise from the signal. Finally, the integrated temperature compensation ensures that your readings are always good and do not vary with temperature changes. We have placed this sensor on a breakout board with a 3.3V regulator and a level shift circuit so that it can be used by 3V or 5V power supply/logic devices. A small piece of header is also included so you can solder it in for use with a breadboard. We've also included SparkFun Qwiic compatible STEMMA QT connectors for the I2C bus, so you don't even need to solder! All you need to do is connect a compatible cable, wire it to your device using one of our schematics and you're ready to write some code to start analysing measurements. Please note: The sensor itself is advertised as waterproof, but the breakout board for testing this sensor is not! If you want to use it in wet environments, you will need to embed the rest of the board in a waterproof epoxy!
