Home Assistant
Home Assistant – official hardware for the open source smart home
Home Assistant is the most widely used open smart home platform and was started in 2013 by Paulus Schoutsen. Unlike the systems of large manufacturers it runs entirely locally: automations work without an internet connection, and the data stays in the house. Behind the official hardware stands Nabu Casa, the company of the project's founders.
Home Assistant Green is the ready-made hub – a compact device with a preinstalled system that simply needs connecting to the network. Anyone already running a Raspberry Pi or server extends that instead with the Connect sticks: ZBT for Zigbee, Thread and Matter, ZWA for Z-Wave.
The Voice Preview Edition adds voice control that works locally – without voice commands ever leaving the house.
At BerryBase you will find official Home Assistant hardware for starting and expanding your local smart home.
