It's blue! It is thin! It's the Arduino Pro Mini! SparkFun's minimal design approach to Arduino. This is a 5V Arduino running the 16MHz bootloader. The Arduino Pro Mini does not come with assembled connectors, so you can solder in any connector or wire with any orientation. We recommend that Arduino beginners start with the Uno R3. It's a great board to get you started quickly. The Arduino Pro series is for users who understand the limitations of the system voltage (5V), lack of connectors and USB outside the board.
We really wanted to minimise the cost of an Arduino. To achieve this, we used all SMD components, made it dual layer, etc. This board connects directly to the FTDI Basic Breakout Board and supports auto-reset. The Arduino Pro Mini also works with the FTDI cable, but the FTDI cable does not bring out the DTR pin, so the auto-reset function will not work. There is a voltage regulator on board so it can accept a voltage up to 12VDC. If you power the board with unregulated voltage, make sure you connect it to the "RAW" pin and not VCC.
The latest and greatest version of this board breaks out the ADC6 and ADC7 pins and adds footprints for optional I2C pull-up resistors! We've also taken the opportunity to put the OSHW logo on it.
Note: A portion of this sale goes back to Arduino LLC to fund further development of new tools and new IDE features.

This is a simple breakout board for the popular XBee product from Digi. This board breaks out all 20 pins of the XBee onto a two row header with 0.1" standard spacing. The spacing between the 0.1" connectors is 0.5" so the board is DIP friendly. We strongly recommend using the female headers to avoid having to permanently solder the XBee to the breakout board. This is the board only. Please order the corresponding 2mm sockets (you need 2!) and 0.1" pin headers as well.

Fingerprint scanners have been readily available at the consumer level for several years now, so it's only logical that they continue to grow and evolve over time. That's what brings us to this capacitive fingerprint scanner from ADH-Tech. The AS-108M fingerprint sensor module is a combination fingerprint scanner and MCU that provides a UART interface for easy functionality.
The AS-108M stands out from other fingerprint scanners in that it reads the image of a fingerprint by pixel array and provides ridge or valley signals to the A/D converter and digital processor and then to the serial peripheral interface to read the data. The on-board MCU uses a fingerprint algorithm that allows you to use MCU-SOC commands via UART to operate modules such as fingerprint reading, match operations and more.
The AS-108M offers an image resolution of 508dpi, a recognition time of less than 0.6 seconds and can store up to 100 high-quality templates. Unlike other fingerprint scanners, this version comes with an interface cable with a 6-pin connector output that plugs into the connection port for easy setup and installation.

This small spool is a great way to get into wearable electronics without the expense of buying a whole spool of thread. Almost 40 feet of thread is enough to sew a simple design onto your shirt, backpack or hat.
What sets this thread apart from the other conductive threads we carry is the fact that it is actually spun from 12UM stainless steel fibres, making it incredibly smooth and without the loose hairs seen in other spools. While a DMM is suitable for a quick check, a panel-mounted current and voltage meter is handy if you need to constantly monitor a system. Battery-powered systems can be quickly diagnosed by checking the overall system voltage; run times can be calculated based on instantaneous power consumption rates. For all these cases and more, it's just super handy to have a meter at hand.
This digital combination DC current and voltage meter measures up to 30 V and 10 A at a quiescent current of about 15 mA. All devices are supplied pre-calibrated, but can be further calibrated after installation with a small trimpot on the back of the device.
The wiring diagram shows normal cabling. The thicker 2-pin harness is for the ammeter and is normally wired into the current feedback path to the battery or ground. The thinner 3-pin harness is for the voltmeter. The black wire of the 3-pin harness is internally connected to the ammeter and can be wired to NC (not connected) or ground. The red wire of the ammeter should be connected to the system and the black wire of the ammeter should be connected to ground, otherwise the system will work but the meter will display 0.00 as it cannot display negative values.

This is not your basic 7-segment display. The dual 7-segment display has two digits with an RGB LED in each individual segment! So now you have a small 7-segment LED in your project with a full colour display!
The dual 7-segment display is breadboard friendly and has a digit height of 0.56in (14.22mm). The red LEDs have a forward voltage of 2VDC, 2.85VDC for green and 2.95VDC for blue, with a continuous forward current per segment of 10mA for the red LEDs and 5mA for the green and blue.

Fingerprint scanners are ingenious! Why use a key when you have one right at the tip of your finger? Unfortunately, they are often unreliable or difficult to implement. Not anymore! This awesome GT-521F52 fingerprint module from ADH-Tech communicates via TTL Serial so you can easily incorporate it into your next project. The module itself handles the entire task of reading and identifying fingerprints with an integrated optical sensor and a 32-bit ARM Cortex M3 processor.
To get started, simply register each fingerprint you want to save by sending the appropriate command and pressing your finger against the reader three times. The fingerprint scanner can store different fingerprints, and the database of prints can even be downloaded from the device and distributed to other modules. In addition to the fingerprint "template", the analysed version of the print, you can retrieve the image of a fingerprint and even pull raw images from the optical sensor!
This module is the upgraded version of the GT-521F32 and can store up to an amazing 3,000 different fingerprints! It is able to recognise 360° fingerprints and download/upload templates via the serial interface. In addition, the GT-521Fxx series offers a resolution of 450dpi, with a false acceptance rate of <0.001% and a false rejection rate of <0.1%, while taking only <1.5 seconds to identify a unique fingerprint!
The module is small and easy to mount, with four mounting holes surrounding the sensor. The onboard JST-SH connector has four signals: Vcc, GND, Tx and Rx. A compatible JST-SH pigtail can be found in the "Hookup Accessories" section below.
Note: Please note that while this fingerprint scanner is equipped with the same connector we use on all of our Qwiic boards, it is NOT Qwiic or I2C compatible. This means all our Qwiic cables, such as our 100mm version, will work for this board.

The GP-735 is a slim, ultra high performance and easy to use GPS smart antenna receiver. With -162dBm tracking sensitivity and only 29 seconds cold start time, the GP735 is a tiny but powerful piece of technology. This is our new hobby motor now with a 6mm, 10 tooth, gearbox to make your basic projects a little easier to manage. It works well for basic things like making a fan or spinning something pretty fast without much resistance.
The motor has a normal operating voltage range of 1.0 to 3.0VDC, but can handle a maximum load of up to 12VDC and an idle speed of 6600±10% RPM (@1.0V DC, 110mA). Further information can be found in the data sheet linked below.
Note: Although the data sheet for this hobby motor specifies a maximum voltage range of 3.0VDC, our supplier has assured us that it can handle a maximum load of 12VDC.
