The micro:bit is a pocket-sized microcontroller that allows children and beginners to learn coding and electronics and easily realise ideas for digital DIY games, interactive projects and robotics. To explore even more possibilities with the micro:bit, we have now combined it with DFRobot's Boson modules, a set of modularised electronic blocks suitable for any child to begin their hands-on journey of creation. DFRobot's Boson Starter Kit for micro:bit contains 8 selected modules covering the most popular digital and analogue sensors and actuators, supporting interaction with sound, light and motion. The modules communicate with the micro:bit via a 3-pin interface and are perfectly compatible with the Microsoft MakeCode JavaScript online editor and the Python editor. A versatile, medium-sized robotic learning platform for the Raspberry Pi. Trilobot is a robust Raspberry Pi-based robotics kit designed specifically for use in the classroom. It's easy to get started, but we've made it easy to add extra features so it can grow with your plans for an unstoppable robot army. Trilobot's chassis is made from multiple layers of tough FR-4 PCBs that allow us to do exciting new things that weren't possible with our previous acrylic robots. The motor driver hardware is built right into the chassis, so you don't need a separate HAT for the motors. We've labelled all the layers with useful labels so you know where all the parts belong, and we've included some nifty design details such as a fancy gold bumper and a stylish reversible top plate. Plus, an impressively bright RGB LED underlight comes as standard! It's fun to drive around in a pimped-out horseshoe crab on wheels, but if you want to add extra features to your Trilobot, that's no problem. With a Raspberry Pi camera attached to the in-built camera mount, you can record yourself from the robot's point of view or even add a bit of AI/machine learning into the mix. It comes with an ultrasonic distance sensor so it can protect itself from bumping into things but we've made it easy to add more - there are two ports to connect breakouts with Qwiic or STEMMA QT connectors, and broken out headers to add up to five sockets for breakout garden breakouts (requires soldering). The hardware is supported by a fully functional Python library, with controller code and many examples developed with the help of a high calibre Trilobot test team. Please note: This is the Trilobot Base Kit only, you will need to add your own Raspberry Pi, SD card, camera and battery bank.
