Depending on the surface, the skid wears out over time, breaks out of the holder or is lost during assembly. The set provides you with sufficient replacements.

Microbric – the Edison robot
Microbric is an Australian company from Adelaide that developed the Edison robot – a small, robust learning robot designed for one particular quality: it grows with the learner across many years of school.
The entry point is unusual. Beginners program the Edison by driving it over printed barcodes, each of which loads a ready-made behaviour. The next step is EdBlocks, a graphical block language, followed by EdScratch and finally EdPy, a genuine Python variant. The same robot thus accompanies pupils from primary school to upper secondary.
The Edison carries light, sound, line and obstacle sensors and an infrared receiver. Because its housing accepts LEGO bricks, it can be extended into vehicles, machines and constructions of the pupils' own design. Class sets and free teaching materials round off the system.
