Arduino Nano: Compact and versatile microcontroller board
The Arduino Nano is a small, complete and breadboard-friendly board based on the ATmega328 (Arduino Nano 3.x). It offers much of the same functionality as the Arduino Duemilanove, but in a different package. It only lacks a DC power socket and uses a mini-B USB cable instead of a standard cable.

Arduino: The all-rounder among IoT platforms

Hardly any other platform offers makers such a high-quality and versatile software and hardware package as Arduino. The success story begins in 2005, when the two passionate IT people Massimo Banzi and David Cuartielles develop the first Arduino, in Italy, and immediately hit the bull's eye. Within three years, no less than 50,000 copies of the compact single-board computer were sold, after which dozens of other Arduino models followed and also became top sellers. In the meantime, the platform has long since achieved cult status among hobby tinkerers.

One important reason for its success is that the hardware modules are extremely versatile and flexible thanks to their numerous inputs and outputs. With the help of Serial Read, the Arduino effortlessly reads out all desired commands. Whether you want to control displays or motors, or take measurements using sensors: Arduino always has the ideal hardware component in stock.

By the way, contrary to what is often claimed, Arduino boards cannot be used as a replacement for the Raspberry Pi, because unlike the mini-computer with the raspberry, the Arduino is dependent on an external computer. However, depending on the project, an Arduino board can be used in combination with a Raspberry Pi.
