Product information "Arduino 9-axis motion shield"

9-axis motion shield for Arduino
The Arduino 9-axis motion shield is based on the BNO055 absolute orientation sensor from Bosch Sensortec GmbH. It integrates a 14-bit triaxial accelerometer, a 16-bit triaxial gyroscope with a range of ±2000 degrees per second and a triaxial geomagnetic sensor with a 32-bit microcontroller running BSX3.0 FusionLib software. The sensor provides data on three-dimensional acceleration, yaw rate and magnetic field strength in three perpendicular axes.

Arduino: The all-rounder among IoT platforms

Hardly any other platform offers makers such a high-quality and versatile software and hardware package as Arduino. The success story begins in 2005, when the two passionate IT people Massimo Banzi and David Cuartielles develop the first Arduino, in Italy, and immediately hit the bull's eye. Within three years, no less than 50,000 copies of the compact single-board computer were sold, after which dozens of other Arduino models followed and also became top sellers. In the meantime, the platform has long since achieved cult status among hobby tinkerers.

One important reason for its success is that the hardware modules are extremely versatile and flexible thanks to their numerous inputs and outputs. With the help of Serial Read, the Arduino effortlessly reads out all desired commands. Whether you want to control displays or motors, or take measurements using sensors: Arduino always has the ideal hardware component in stock.

By the way, contrary to what is often claimed, Arduino boards cannot be used as a replacement for the Raspberry Pi, because unlike the mini-computer with the raspberry, the Arduino is dependent on an external computer. However, depending on the project, an Arduino board can be used in combination with a Raspberry Pi.
