Produktinformationen "Analogue UV light sensor breakout - GUVA-S12SD"

Expand your light sensor spectrum with this analogue UV sensor module. It uses a UV photodiode that can detect the light range of 240-370 nm (which covers the UVB and most of the UVA spectrum). The signal level from the photodiode is very small, in the nano amp range, so we used an op-amp to amplify the signal to a more manageable voltage level.

This sensor is much simpler than our Si1145 breakout, it only does one thing and outputs an analogue voltage output rather than requiring a complicated I2C setup procedure. This makes it better for simple projects. It also has a 'real' UV sensor instead of a calibrated light sensor. To use, power the sensor and op-amp by connecting V+ to 2.7-5.5 VDC and GND to mains ground. Then read the analogue signal at the OUT pin. The output voltage is: Vo=4.3 * diode current-in-uA. So if the photocurrent is 1uA (9 mW/cm^2), the output voltage is 4.3V. You can also convert the voltage to UV index by dividing the output voltage by 0.1V. So if the output voltage is 0.5V, the UV index is about 5.

Please note that our UV LEDs with 400nm are outside the range of this sensor, so do not use them if you want to test this sensor! A UV tanning lamp or 'lizard lamp' will work much better.

Adafruit AS7262 6-channel light / colour sensor breakout
Detect green trees as well as red roses with the new Adafruit AS7262 6-Channel Visible Light / Colour Sensor Breakout. This sensor from AMS has 6 integrated visible light measurement channels for red, orange, yellow, green, blue and violet. These channels can be read out via the I2C bus either as raw 16-bit values or as calibrated floating point values. There is also an on-board temperature sensor that can be used to read the temperature of the chip and a powerful LED flash that reflects light from objects for better colour recognition. The 6 channels on the AS7262 are realised by silicon interference filters at 450nm, 500nm, 550nm, 570nm, 600nm and 650nm. This breakout uses the chip's I2C interface by default, but a UART interface that accepts AT commands is also selectable. We have placed the sensor on a PCB for you and included an SPI flash chip pre-programmed with the device firmware, a 3.3V regulator, I2C level shift and the recommended LED flash. The Bus Pirate v3.6a, created by Ian Lesnet, is a debugging tool that communicates between a PC and any embedded device via 1-wire, 2-wire, 3-wire, UART, I2C, SPI and HD44780 LCD protocols - at voltages from 0-5.5VDC.
