Produktinformationen "Adafruit T-slot photo interrupter with 1 metre cable"

This T-Slot Photo Interrupter with cable is a simple plastic sensor with two elements - an IR LED and an IR phototransistor located across a U-shaped slit. You can control the IR LED and switch it on to transmit IR light across the slit to the detector on the other side. This makes it perfect for detecting when something is in the slit. If something is blocking the light, the sensor switches off, if the object moves away, the sensor receives the IR light and switches on.

These sensors are handy if you want to detect if something has passed through the sensor slit. We think they're great when paired with our slotted encoder wheels - as you can see, we have a demo that counts the number of passes (slots) over a second, extrapolates this to RPM and displays it on an OLED. This sensor is extra fancy with a red LED on the side to let you know when the sensor is triggered and a built-in protection circuit.

The only downside to this sensor is that the circuitry inside has a power requirement - the Vin line needs to be powered with at least 5V. But the output transistor is an open collector, so you can connect a pullup resistor to 3V for 3.3V logic if needed. So as long as you have a 5V output, you can use it with a 3V device like the Feather in the demo.

This version is very smartly connected with a cable:

Brown wire - VCC (logic circuit current 5-24V)
Pink wire - L (LED configuration, see datasheet for options, but we only tie to VCC)
Black wire - transistor output. Open collector, so you need to connect a pull-up resistor to your logic level.
Blue wire - ground

TT Motor Encoder

Plastic geared motors (also known as "TT" motors) are a simple and cost-effective way to get your projects moving. They are inexpensive, durable and easy to use. The downside to these inexpensive hobby motors is that they have no way of knowing their speed or position. Basically, you send voltage in and get rotation out. Really expensive motors have encoders built in, and for those TT motors we now have some simple snap-on encoder wheels. This TT motor encoder is solid but thin, so it won't make your robot bulky. It even comes in black from Adafruit! Are they made of laser-cut stainless steel? No. Do they have multiple grey code notches? No. But what they do have is black injection moulded plastic that snaps onto the "opposite" end of your wheel. With a simple photo interrupter sensor that counts the ticks, you can determine the speed of your wheel, but not the direction. Each order comes with two encoders. Note: This encoder is for use with 'TT' geared DC motors only, it has an oval notch that snaps directly into place.

Bring a little bit of Times Square into your home with this sweet 32 x 32 square RGB LED matrix panel. These panels are usually used to make video walls, here in New York we see them on the sides of buses and bus stops to display animations or short video clips. We thought they looked really cool, so we picked up a few boxes of them from a factory. They are very similar to our 6mm Grid 32x32 RGB LED Matrix Panel, but the LEDs on this panel are also a little closer together (a 5mm grid), so you don't have to stand as far away to see them. They are made to look good indoors, even with a wide angle (160 degrees) and also look good in ambient light. These matrices have 1024 bright RGB LEDs arranged in a 32x32 grid on the front. On the back is a board with two IDC connectors (one input, one output: theoretically you can daisy chain them together) and 12 16-bit latches that allow the display to be driven at a 1:16 sampling rate. These panels require 13 digital pins (6 bit data, 7 bit control) and a good 5V supply, up to 4A per panel. Comes with: A single 32x32 RGB panel, One IDC cable One power cable Note that these displays are designed to be driven by FPGAs or other high speed processors: They have no built-in PWM control of any kind. Instead, you will need to keep redrawing the screen to control the whole thing "manually" with PWM. This display works best with a high-speed, high-RAM microcontroller like a SAMD21, SAMD51, ESP32, etc. The good news is that the display is pre-white balanced with nice uniformity, so when you switch on all the LEDs, it's not a particularly tinted white. Of course, we wouldn't leave you with a datasheet and a "good luck!". You can't use this size of panel with an Arduino UNO (ATmega328) or ATmega32u4 - you need a chip with more RAM! These displays are technically modulatable - connect one output to the next input - as long as you have the RAM to handle it Note: To use a MatrixPortal with this matrix, you will need a pack of stacking headers to lift the MatrixPortal over the frame of the matrix. Since the Arduino (and Basic Stamp) are 5V devices and most modern sensors, displays, flash cards and modes are only 3.3V, many manufacturers are finding that they need to do level shifting/conversion to protect the 3.3V device from 5V. Many level shifters both don't like working with I2C, which uses a weird pull-up system to transfer data back and forth. This level shifter board combines the ease of use of the bidirectional TXB0108 with an I2C-compatible FET design that follows NXP's app note. This breakout has 4 BSS138 FETs with 10K pullups. It works up to 1.8V on the low side and up to 10V on the high side. The 10K makes the interface slightly slower than using a TXB0108 or 74LVC245, so we recommend using these if you need fast transmission. While we designed it for use with I2C, it works just as well for TTL Serial, slow <2MHz SPI, and any other digital interface both uni- and bi-directional. Included is a fully assembled and tested board with 4 full bidirectional converter lines and 2 pieces of 6-pin headers that you can solder to plug into a breadboard or perfboard.

The eTape liquid level sensor is a solid-state sensor with a resistance output that changes with the liquid level. It eliminates the need for bulky mechanical floats and can be easily connected to electronic control systems. The envelope of the eTape sensor is compressed by the hydrostatic pressure of the liquid in which it is immersed. This leads to a change in resistance that corresponds to the distance between the top of the sensor and the surface of the liquid. The output resistance of the sensor is inversely proportional to the height of the liquid: the lower the liquid level, the higher the output resistance; the higher the liquid level, the lower the output resistance. This is a very unique sensor. We have yet to see anything else that is affordable and accurate for measuring liquid levels. This sensor seems like a handy addition to a hydroponic, aquarium, fountain or pool controller, or perhaps for measuring a rain pipe. This particular sensor is the 5" version, and it includes a 4-pin connector and a 560Ω 5% resistor. The connector is such that you don't have to solder directly to the sensitive pins. Instead, you simply solder to the connector and plug it onto the sensor. Since the sensor has a resistor, it is easy to read it with an ADC pin of the microcontroller. This powerful shield features the VS1053, an encoding/decoding (codec) chip, which can decode a variety of audio formats such as MP3, AAC, Ogg Vorbis, WMA, MIDI, FLAC, WAV (PCM and ADPCM) . It can also be used to record audio in both PCM (WAV) and compressed Ogg Vorbis. You can also do all sorts of things with the audio, such as bass, treble and digitally adjust volume. All these functions are implemented in a lightweight SPI interface so that any Arduino can play audio from an SD card. There's also a special MIDI mode that you can boot the chip into, which reads "classic" 31250Kbaud MIDI data from an Arduino pin and behaves like a synth/drum machine - there are dozens of inbuilt drum and sample effects! If you want a compact colour display, with buttons and a joystick, we have what you are looking for. This Bonnet has 240x240 colour pixels in an IPS TFT display that is controlled via SPI. This display is super small, only about 1.3" diagonally, but since it is an IPS display it is very readable with high contrast and good visibility. With the TFT display in the centre we had some space on both sides, so we added a 5-way joystick and two push buttons . Great if you want to have a control interface for your project. On the bottom we have a Qwiic/STEMMA QT connector for I2C sensors and devices, so you can connect and play any of our STEMMA QT devices Using the display is very easy, we have a kernel driver and Python library for the ST7789 chipset. You can set it up as console output so you can have text and a user interface through Raspberry Pi OS or you can draw images, text, whatever you want using the Python imaging library. We also have Python code that you can use to read the joystick and buttons. Our tests showed ~15 FPS refresh rates, so you can make animations or simple videos. Comes fully pre-assembled and tested so all you need to do is plug it in and install the Python code ! We've been looking for a display like this for a long time - it's only 1.5" diagonally, but has a high density of 220 ppi, 240x240 pixel display with full angle viewing. It looks similar to our 1.44" display with 128x128 pixels, but has 4x as many pixels and looks great at any angle. We've seen displays of this calibre in smartwatches and small electronic devices, but they always had a MIPI interface. Finally we have found one that is SPI and has a friendly display driver so it will work with any microcontroller or microcomputer! This neat little display breakout is the best way to add a small, colourful and very bright display to any project . As the display communicates via 4-wire SPI and has its own pixel addressable framebuffer, it can be used with any type of microcontroller. Even with a very small one with little memory and few available pins! The 1.54" display has 240x240 16-bit full colour pixels and is an IPS display, so the colour looks good up to 80 degrees off-axis in any direction. The TFT driver (ST7789) is very similar to the popular ST7735, and our Arduino library supports it well. Our breakout has the TFT display soldered on (it uses a sensitive flex-circuit connector) as well as an ultra-low dropout 3.3V regulator and a 3/5V level shifter so you can use it with 3.3V or 5V power and logic. Since we had some space, we included a microSD card holder, so you can easily load full colour bitmaps from a FAT16/FAT32 formatted microSD card. The microSD card is not included. Of course, we wouldn't just leave you with a datasheet and a "Good luck!". - We have written a complete open source graphics library that can draw pixels, lines, rectangles, circles, text and bitmaps, as well as sample code and a wiring tutorial. The code is written for Arduino, but can easily be ported to your favourite microcontroller! Please note! This display is originally intended for smartwatches and the like where there is a glass over the screen. Without something to gently hold the screen down, the backlight may eventually peel off the TFT. (It's not destructive, but it is unsightly) You can prevent this by ideally adding a plastic or glass cover/overlay. If you are using the device uncovered, try dabbing a touch of E6000 or similar craft glue on the thin side edges, or use a thin piece of tape to attach the front TFT to the backlight.

Simple e-paper finally comes to the microcontroller, with this breakout that makes it a snap to add an e-ink display. You've probably seen one of those newfangled 'e-readers' like the Kindle or Nook. They have giant electronic paper 'static' displays - this means that the image stays on the display even if the power is completely cut off. The image is also very high contrast and easy to read even in daylight. It really does look like printed paper! We've liked these displays for a long time, but the breakouts were never intended for use by manufacturers. Finally, we decided to make our own! The Breakout has a 1.54" monochrome (black and white) display. It has a higher resolution than our 1.54" three-colour display with 200x200 black pixels on a white background. The monochrome displays also take much less time to refresh, just a few seconds instead of 15 seconds! Using our CircuitPython or Arduino libraries, you can create a "frame buffer" with the pixels you want enabled and then output it to the display. Most simple breakouts leave it at that. But if you do the maths, 200 x 200 pixels=8 Kbytes. That doesn't fit into many microcontroller memories. And even if you have 32 Kbytes of RAM, why waste 8 Kbytes? So we've done you a favour and put a small SRAM chip on the back. This chip shares the SPI port that the eInk display uses, so you only need one extra pin. And, no more frame buffering! You can use the SRAM to create what you want to display and then transfer the data from the SRAM to the eInk when you're ready. The library we wrote does all the work for you, you can simply address it as if it were an Adafruit_GFX compatible display. For ultra-low power use, the onboard 3.3V regulator has the enable pin out so you can turn off the power to the SRAM and display. We've even added a MicroSD socket so you can store images, text files or whatever you want to display. Everything is 3 or 5V logic safe so you can use it with all microcontrollers. Comes assembled and tested, with some headers. You will need a soldering iron to attach the header for breadboarding or installation into your project.

This touch-enabled add-on shield for Arduinos will inspire your next interactive project with 12 capacitive touch sensors. Capacitive touch sensors detect when a person (or animal) has touched one of the sensor electrodes. Capacitive touch sensors are used for things like touch-sensitive tablets and phones, as well as control panels for devices where you may have used them before. With this shield, you can create electronics that can respond to human touch, with up to 12 individual sensors. The shield has 12 "figure 8" holes where you can attach cables with alligator clips. Attach one side of the clip to the shield and the other side to something electrically conductive (like metal) or filled with water (like vegetables or fruit!) Then fire up our handy Arduino library to detect when the object is touched. That's it, very simple! For advanced users, you can also solder to a pad for a slimmer & more permanent connection. Works great with any Arduino as it only uses the I2C pins (SCL & SDA). It uses the same chip as our MPR121 12-button capacitive touch sensor breakout, so you can duplicate the library and code! We have examples of touch reading. With an Arduino Leonardo and a little creativity, you can convert touches to key presses (KeyUp/KeyDown) (so you can build a veggie keyboard) or pair with our Music Maker Shield to create an audio player that plays one sound per sensor (fruit drums!) Each order comes with a Capacitive Touch Shield and a stick of 36-pin headers.
