This is the DC motor + stepper motor FeatherWing with which you can use 2 x bipolar stepper motors or 4 x DC brush motors (or 1 stepper motor and 2 DC motors) . With matching headers, you can attach a FeatherWing to the top or bottom of your Feather board and get started. The original Adafruit Motorshield Kit is one of our most popular kits, so we decided to squeeze everything into one FeatherWing to make something even smaller, lighter and more portable! Adafruit Motor/Stepper/Servo Shield for Arduino Kit, v2
The original Adafruit Motorshield kit is one of our most popular kits, so we decided to make something even better. We've upgraded the shield kit to create the best and easiest way to drive DC and stepper motors. With this shield, your next robotics project will be done quickly! We've kept the ability to drive up to 4 DC motors or 2 stepper motors, but added many improvements: Instead of an L293D Darlington driver, we now have the TB6612 MOSFET driver with 1.2A per channel current capability (you can pull up to 3A peak for about 20ms at a time). It also has much lower voltage drops across the motor, so you get more torque from your batteries, and there are also inbuilt flyback diodes. Instead of using a latch and the Arduino's PWM pins, we have a fully dedicated PWM driver chip on the board. This chip takes over the entire motor and speed control via I2C. Only two data pins (SDA & SCL in addition to the power pins GND & 5V) are needed to control the multiple motors, and since it's I2C, you can also connect any other I2C devices or shields to the same pins. This also makes it drop-in compatible with any Arduino, such as the Uno, Due, Leonardo and Mega R3. Fully stackable design: 5 address select pins means up to 32 stackable shields: that's 64 steppers or 128 DC motors! Lots of other little improvements like a reverse polarity protection FET on the power pins and a bit of prototyping area. And the shield is assembled and tested here at Adafruit, so all you need to do is solder on straight or stacking headers and the terminal blocks. Adafruit TB6612 1.2A DC/Stepper Motor Driver Breakout Board
Adafruit TB6612 1.2A DC/Stepper Motor Driver Breakout Board The TB6612 can be used to drive two DC motors, one bipolar or unipolar stepper motor or two solenoids at 1.2A per channel. These drivers are better known as "the drivers in our mounted Adafruit Motorshields or Motor HATs." We really like these dual H-bridges, so if you want to control motors without a shield or HAT, these are easy to include on any solderless breadboard or perma-prototype. We solder the TB6612 to a breakout board for you, with a polarity protection FET on the motor voltage input and a pullup on the "standby" input pin. Each breakout chip contains two full H-bridges (four half H-bridges). This means you can drive 2-4 solenoids (only two can be active at a time, on opposite bridges), two DC motors bidirectionally, or a stepper motor. Just make sure they are suitable for 1.2 Amps or less current as this is the limit of this chip. They can handle a peak current of 3A, but only for a short time, like 20 milliseconds. What we like best about this driver is that it includes built-in flyback diodes so you don't have to worry about the inductor surge damaging your project or the driver! There are two digital inputs per H-bridge (one for each half of the bridge) as well as one PWM input per driver so you can control the motor speed. Runs on 2.7V-5V logic. The motor voltage is separate from the logic voltage. Suitable for motor voltages from 4.5V to 13.5V! This does not work well for 3V motors. Comes as an assembled and tested breakout plus a small strip of header. You will need to do some light soldering to connect the header to the breakout board. Adafruit Feather 32u4 Bluefruit LE
This is the Adafruit Feather 32u4 Bluefruit - our version of an 'all-in-one' Feather with Arduino compatibility + Bluetooth Low Energy with inbuilt USB and battery charging. It's an Adafruit Feather 32u4 with a BTLE module. Bluetooth Low Energy is the hottest new low-power wireless protocol in the 2.4 GHz spectrum. In particular, it's the only wireless protocol you can use with iOS without needing special certification, and it's supported by all modern smartphones. This makes it great for use in portable projects that use an iOS or Android phone or tablet. It is also supported under Mac OS X and Windows 8+. The heart of the Feather 32u4 is an ATmega32u4, which is clocked at 8 MHz and has a logic voltage of 3.3 V. This chip has 32K Flash and 2K RAM, with built in USB, so not only is a USB to serial programme & debug capability built in without the need for an FTDI like chip, but it can also be used like a mouse, a keyboard, USB MIDI device, etc. To make it easier to use for portable projects, we have added a connector for one of our 3.7V lithium polymer batteries and a built-in charging function. You don't need a battery, the device runs easily directly from the micro USB port. But if you have a battery, you can take it with you and then plug it into the USB port for charging. The Feather will automatically switch to USB power when it is available. We have also connected the battery to an analogue pin via a divider so you can measure and monitor the battery voltage to detect when you need a recharge. This Adafruit Feather 32u4 Bluefruit is assembled with Feather Stacking Headers. Here are some handy specifications! In this profile, the Bluefruit acts as a data line that can "transparently" transmit back and forth from your iOS or Android device. You can use the iOS app or Android app , or write your own, to communicate with the UART service. Thanks to an easy-to-learn AT command set, you have full control over the behaviour of the device, including the ability to define and manipulate your own GATT services and properties, or to change the way the device presents itself to other Bluetooth Low Energy devices. You can also use the AT commands to query the chip's temperature, check the battery voltage and more, check the connection RSSI or MAC address and much more. Use the Bluefruit app to start your project With our Bluefruit iOS app or Android app you can quickly prototype your project using your iOS or Android phone/tablet as a controller. We have a colour picker, quaternion/accelerometer/gyro/magnetometer or location (GPS), and an 8-button control gamepad. This data can be read via BLE and fed into the ATmega32u4 chip for processing & control. You can also do much more! The Bluefruit can also function like an HID keyboard (for devices that support BLE HID) Can become a BLE heart rate monitor (a standard profile for BLE) - you just need to add the circuitry for pulse detection Turn it into a UriBeacon, the Google standard for Bluetooth LE beacons. Adafruit DC & Stepper Motor HAT for Raspberry Pi - Mini Kit
Make your robotic dreams come true with the new DC+Stepper Motor HAT from Adafruit. This Raspberry Pi add-on is perfect for any motion project as it can control up to 4 DC or 2 stepper motors with full PWM speed control. RaspberryPi and motors are not included. Works with any and all Raspberry Pi computers with 2x20 connection port. As the Raspberry Pi does not have many PWM pins, we use a full PWM driver chip onboard to control both motor direction and speed. This chip handles all motor and speed control via I2C. The DHT22 is a simple, low-cost digital temperature and humidity sensor. It uses a capacitive humidity sensor and a thermistor to measure the ambient air and outputs a digital signal on the data pins (no analogue input pins required). It is relatively simple to use, but requires careful timing to capture data.
