Produktinformationen "4-channel I2C-compatible bi-directional logic level converter"

Since the Arduino (and Basic Stamp) are 5V devices and most modern sensors, displays, flash cards and modes are only 3.3V, many manufacturers are finding that they need to do level shifting/conversion to protect the 3.3V device from 5V.

Many level shifters both don't like working with I2C, which uses a weird pull-up system to transfer data back and forth. This level shifter board combines the ease of use of the bidirectional TXB0108 with an I2C-compatible FET design that follows NXP's app note.

This breakout has 4 BSS138 FETs with 10K pullups. It works up to 1.8V on the low side and up to 10V on the high side. The 10K makes the interface slightly slower than using a TXB0108 or 74LVC245, so we recommend using these if you need fast transmission.

While we designed it for use with I2C, it works just as well for TTL Serial, slow <2MHz SPI, and any other digital interface both uni- and bi-directional. Included is a fully assembled and tested board with 4 full bidirectional converter lines and 2 pieces of 6-pin headers that you can solder to plug into a breadboard or perfboard.

Adafruit Flora RGB Smart NeoPixel Version 2 - 4 LEDs

What's a wearable project without LEDs? Our favourite part of the Flora platform are these tiny smart pixels. Designed specifically for wearables, these updated Flora NeoPixels feature ultra-cool technology: these ultra-bright LEDs have a constant current driver built right into the LED package! The pixels are modulable - so you only need 1 pin/wire to drive as many LEDs as you want. They are easy to sew and the modular design means no crossed threads. This is the second version of the Flora NeoPixels that runs on 'high speed' 800KHz communication. Unfortunately they are not backwards compatible with the chip-on-back 'low speed' (400KHz) Flora NeoPixels. If you have a project that already uses low speed pixels and you want to add more pixels to the chain, you will need to buy version 1 as they are not cross-compatible. These pixels have full 24-bit colour capability, with the PWM being handled by the controller chip. Because the LED is so bright, you need less current/power to achieve the desired effects. The driver is constant current, so its OK if your battery power changes or fluctuates a little. Each pixel draws up to 60mA (all three RGB LEDs on for full brightness white). Theoretically the Flora can drive up to 500 pixels at 30 FPS (after that it runs out of memory). However, after about 10 pixels (or if the distance between the pixels is more than one or two centimetres), the resistance of the thread can affect the power supply. For large numbers of pixels over 10, consider using stranded wire or copper braid to provide a "power bus" for the pixels - the current draw adds up quickly!

Bring a little bit of Times Square into your home with this sweet 32 x 32 square RGB LED matrix panel. These panels are usually used to make video walls, here in New York we see them on the sides of buses and bus stops to display animations or short video clips. We thought they looked really cool, so we picked up a few boxes of them from a factory. They are very similar to our 6mm Grid 32x32 RGB LED Matrix Panel, but the LEDs on this panel are also a little closer together (a 5mm grid), so you don't have to stand as far away to see them. They are made to look good indoors, even with a wide angle (160 degrees) and also look good in ambient light. These matrices have 1024 bright RGB LEDs arranged in a 32x32 grid on the front. On the back is a board with two IDC connectors (one input, one output: theoretically you can daisy chain them together) and 12 16-bit latches that allow the display to be driven at a 1:16 sampling rate. These panels require 13 digital pins (6 bit data, 7 bit control) and a good 5V supply, up to 4A per panel. Comes with: A single 32x32 RGB panel, One IDC cable One power cable Note that these displays are designed to be driven by FPGAs or other high speed processors: They have no built-in PWM control of any kind. Instead, you will need to keep redrawing the screen to control the whole thing "manually" with PWM. This display works best with a high-speed, high-RAM microcontroller like a SAMD21, SAMD51, ESP32, etc. The good news is that the display is pre-white balanced with nice uniformity, so when you switch on all the LEDs, it's not a particularly tinted white. The eTape liquid level sensor is a solid-state sensor with a resistance output that changes with the liquid level. It eliminates the need for bulky mechanical floats and can be easily connected to electronic control systems. The envelope of the eTape sensor is compressed by the hydrostatic pressure of the liquid in which it is immersed. This leads to a change in resistance that corresponds to the distance between the top of the sensor and the surface of the liquid. The output resistance of the sensor is inversely proportional to the height of the liquid: the lower the liquid level, the higher the output resistance; the higher the liquid level, the lower the output resistance. This is a very unique sensor. We have yet to see anything else that is affordable and accurate for measuring liquid levels. This sensor seems like a handy addition to a hydroponic, aquarium, fountain or pool controller, or perhaps for measuring a rain pipe. This particular sensor is the 5" version, and it includes a 4-pin connector and a 560Ω 5% resistor. The connector is such that you don't have to solder directly to the sensitive pins. Instead, you simply solder to the connector and plug it onto the sensor. Since the sensor has a resistor, it is easy to read it with an ADC pin of the microcontroller. Use an Arduino Mega, Raspberry Pi, BBB or other device that can display RGB matrices and has sufficient RAM. This matrix has 2048 bright RGB LEDs arranged on the front in a 64x32 grid. On the back is a board with two IDC connectors (one input, one output: theoretically you can daisy-chain them together) and 12 16-bit latches that allow the display to be driven at a 1:16 sampling rate. If you want a compact colour display, with buttons and a joystick, we have what you are looking for. This Bonnet has 240x240 colour pixels in an IPS TFT display that is controlled via SPI. This display is super small, only about 1.3" diagonally, but since it is an IPS display it is very readable with high contrast and good visibility. With the TFT display in the centre we had some space on both sides, so we added a 5-way joystick and two push buttons . Great if you want to have a control interface for your project. On the bottom we have a Qwiic/STEMMA QT connector for I2C sensors and devices, so you can connect and play any of our STEMMA QT devices Using the display is very easy, we have a kernel driver and Python library for the ST7789 chipset. You can set it up as console output so you can have text and a user interface through Raspberry Pi OS or you can draw images, text, whatever you want using the Python imaging library. We also have Python code that you can use to read the joystick and buttons. Our tests showed ~15 FPS refresh rates, so you can make animations or simple videos. Comes fully pre-assembled and tested so all you need to do is plug it in and install the Python code ! We've been looking for a display like this for a long time - it's only 1.5" diagonally, but has a high density of 220 ppi, 240x240 pixel display with full angle viewing. It looks similar to our 1.44" display with 128x128 pixels, but has 4x as many pixels and looks great at any angle. We've seen displays of this calibre in smartwatches and small electronic devices, but they always had a MIPI interface. Finally we have found one that is SPI and has a friendly display driver so it will work with any microcontroller or microcomputer! This neat little display breakout is the best way to add a small, colourful and very bright display to any project . As the display communicates via 4-wire SPI and has its own pixel addressable framebuffer, it can be used with any type of microcontroller. Even with a very small one with little memory and few available pins! The 1.54" display has 240x240 16-bit full colour pixels and is an IPS display, so the colour looks good up to 80 degrees off-axis in any direction. The TFT driver (ST7789) is very similar to the popular ST7735, and our Arduino library supports it well. Our breakout has the TFT display soldered on (it uses a sensitive flex-circuit connector) as well as an ultra-low dropout 3.3V regulator and a 3/5V level shifter so you can use it with 3.3V or 5V power and logic. Since we had some space, we included a microSD card holder, so you can easily load full colour bitmaps from a FAT16/FAT32 formatted microSD card. The microSD card is not included. Of course, we wouldn't just leave you with a datasheet and a "Good luck!". - We have written a complete open source graphics library that can draw pixels, lines, rectangles, circles, text and bitmaps, as well as sample code and a wiring tutorial. The code is written for Arduino, but can easily be ported to your favourite microcontroller! Please note! This display is originally intended for smartwatches and the like where there is a glass over the screen. Without something to gently hold the screen down, the backlight may eventually peel off the TFT. (It's not destructive, but it is unsightly) You can prevent this by ideally adding a plastic or glass cover/overlay. If you are using the device uncovered, try dabbing a touch of E6000 or similar craft glue on the thin side edges, or use a thin piece of tape to attach the front TFT to the backlight.

Simple e-paper finally comes to the microcontroller, with this breakout that makes it a snap to add an e-ink display. You've probably seen one of those newfangled 'e-readers' like the Kindle or Nook. They have giant electronic paper 'static' displays - this means that the image stays on the display even if the power is completely cut off. The image is also very high contrast and easy to read even in daylight. It really does look like printed paper! We've liked these displays for a long time, but the breakouts were never intended for use by manufacturers. Finally, we decided to make our own! The Breakout has a 1.54" monochrome (black and white) display. It has a higher resolution than our 1.54" three-colour display with 200x200 black pixels on a white background. The monochrome displays also take much less time to refresh, just a few seconds instead of 15 seconds! Using our CircuitPython or Arduino libraries, you can create a "frame buffer" with the pixels you want enabled and then output it to the display. Most simple breakouts leave it at that. But if you do the maths, 200 x 200 pixels=8 Kbytes. That doesn't fit into many microcontroller memories. And even if you have 32 Kbytes of RAM, why waste 8 Kbytes? So we've done you a favour and put a small SRAM chip on the back. This chip shares the SPI port that the eInk display uses, so you only need one extra pin. And, no more frame buffering! You can use the SRAM to create what you want to display and then transfer the data from the SRAM to the eInk when you're ready. The library we wrote does all the work for you, you can simply address it as if it were an Adafruit_GFX compatible display. For ultra-low power use, the onboard 3.3V regulator has the enable pin out so you can turn off the power to the SRAM and display. We've even added a MicroSD socket so you can store images, text files or whatever you want to display. Everything is 3 or 5V logic safe so you can use it with all microcontrollers. Comes assembled and tested, with some headers. You will need a soldering iron to attach the header for breadboarding or installation into your project.

Here is a new "round-rect" TFT display - it has a diagonal of 1.69" and a high pixel density of 220 ppi, 280x240 full colour pixels with IPS display at any angle. The corner pixels are still addressed in RAM, they're just not displayed, so it's not like you need to do any special radial pixel mapping. Treat it like a rectangular display. Our breakout has the TFT display soldered on (it uses a sensitive flex-circuit connector) as well as a 3.3V regulator with ultra-low dropout and a 3/5V level shifter so you can use it with 3.3V or 5V power and logic. Since we had some space, we included a microSD card holder so you can easily load coloured bitmaps from a FAT16/FAT32 formatted microSD card. The microSD card is not included. Of course, we wouldn't just leave you with a datasheet and a "good luck!" - we've written a full open source graphics library that can draw pixels, lines, rectangles, circles, text and bitmaps, as well as sample code and wiring instructions. The code is written for Arduino, but can easily be ported to your favourite microcontroller! This display breakout also features an 18-pin "EYE SPI" standard FPC connector with flip-top connection. You can use an 18-pin FPC cable with 0.5mm spacing to connect to all GPIO pins if you want to skip soldering.

This touch-enabled add-on shield for Arduinos will inspire your next interactive project with 12 capacitive touch sensors. Capacitive touch sensors detect when a person (or animal) has touched one of the sensor electrodes. Capacitive touch sensors are used for things like touch-sensitive tablets and phones, as well as control panels for devices where you may have used them before. With this shield, you can create electronics that can respond to human touch, with up to 12 individual sensors. The shield has 12 "figure 8" holes where you can attach cables with alligator clips. Attach one side of the clip to the shield and the other side to something electrically conductive (like metal) or filled with water (like vegetables or fruit!) Then fire up our handy Arduino library to detect when the object is touched. That's it, very simple! For advanced users, you can also solder to a pad for a slimmer & more permanent connection. Works great with any Arduino as it only uses the I2C pins (SCL & SDA). It uses the same chip as our MPR121 12-button capacitive touch sensor breakout, so you can duplicate the library and code! We have examples of touch reading. With an Arduino Leonardo and a little creativity, you can convert touches to key presses (KeyUp/KeyDown) (so you can build a veggie keyboard) or pair with our Music Maker Shield to create an audio player that plays one sound per sensor (fruit drums!) Each order comes with a Capacitive Touch Shield and a stick of 36-pin headers. For all of you out there who want to control 12 PWM channels, we salute you! We would also like to recommend this breakout board for the PWM driver chip TLC59711. This chip can control 12 separate channels with 16-bit PWM output. This is the highest resolution PWM board we have seen so far! This board was designed for (and is ideal for) precise control of LEDs, but is not suitable for controlling servos. Only two "SPI" pins are needed to send data (our Arduino library shows how you can use any digital microcontroller pins). Best of all, the design is fully daisy-chainable. As long as there's enough power for all the boards, you can string as many boards together as you like, like a little trail of blue PCBs stretching off into the sunset. Each of the 12 outputs is constant current and open-drain. You can drive multiple LEDs in series, with a V+ anode supply of up to 17V. If you want to drive something that requires a digital input, you will need to use a pull-up resistor from the drive pin to the logic level to create the full waveform. A resistor is used to set the current for each of the outputs, the constant current means that the LED brightness will not vary when the power supply dips. We use a 3.3K resistor for about 15mA, but you can solder a through-hole resistor across it if you want to change this value. See the TLC59711 datasheet for details on resistor current values. There is also a handy 3.3V regulator on the chip that you can use if you need a logic level regulator. We include a few extras to make this board easy to use: a green power good LED, four mounting holes and a current setting resistor. A piece of 0.1" header is also included so you can solder it on and plug it into a breadboard. To use: Supply V+ with 5-17VDC, and connect ground to common ground. Then send 3-5V logic SPI data to DIN (data in) and CLK (clock). Our Arduino library will help you work with flashing LEDs, install it and run the example code with the pin configuration noted. There is a typo in the silkscreen, the second R0 should be R1 - but you already knew that!

If you add LEDs, everything gets 5x better - that's a scientific fact! But if you have LEDs, you need wires and power and all that stuff is kind of a pain. What if you could have LEDs that light up without wires, solder joints or batteries? Sounds magical! That's what makes this kit of a small inductive coil and 10 wireless LEDs so nifty. It uses electromagnetic fields and inductive coupling to conduct electricity through the air and light up the LEDs soldered onto the coils. Each order contains a driver board (you need a 5 V power supply to power it) and ten miniature LED inductors in different colours (two each in white, blue, yellow, green and red). Inductive charging is a way of supplying power to a device without a direct cable connection. Most people are familiar with inductive charging from a rechargeable electric toothbrush: you may have noticed that you charge it by plugging it into the holder, but there is no direct plug. These chargers work by taking a transformer and splitting it in half. In this product, we have a small coil that forms the "primary" side of the charger. Then each individual LED has a smaller coil on the back. When the two are coupled, the current is transferred from the coil to the LED and it lights up. You can have a large number of LEDs that are all in a different 3D space above or below the coil. You can also orientate them differently, but you get the best efficiency/current transfer when the two coils are on top of each other. You can also arrange the LEDs slightly outside the main ring, but even then they won't shine as brightly as in the centre. They are often used for modelling, toy designs or displays, but we think they also have a lot of potential for art, craft or cosplay. The coil is quite small, so you have about 1 to 3 inches of vertical space to work with. These are simple modules for which we have no data sheets or specifications. Then we thought about how people actually prototype - they usually start with a solderless breadboard and then transfer the parts to a permanent PCB. That's when we realised what people really want is a proto-board that makes it easy! This proto-board is the PCB you've always wanted but never realised! We've taken the basic layout of a reasonably sized breadboard and turned it into a beautiful PCB. The top side has a white silkscreen and the same markings you are familiar with to make transferring components easy. The bottom has the 5-hole pad design that fits a classic breadboard, with 4 power bus lines on the sides and no mask so you can easily cut traces if needed. We have used 1.2mm diameter holes so that components with large leads will also fit. All holes are plated through for reinforcement - these will not come off during rework. The surface is gold-plated - you won't get oxidation like with bare copper perf! There are also two mounting holes so you can attach the board to your project box.
